That’s a sweet tat. I’ve got my Koi half sleeve started, just need to finish up underneath my arm. I don’t like the flowers he put on it though. Those aren’t traditional Japanese flowers you see. Usually it’s cherry blossoms or lotus flowers, but I give you props for 8hrs. Came out beautiful.
Thanks, but actually those ARE traditional maple leaves surrounding the koi as it climbs the waterfall in autumn. If you’re going to be a critic then be an educated one, otherwise you just come off as someone who only knows half the story and likes to be a show-off. Well done in that regard.
I am going in to get something very similar but over 2 sessions
i take my hat off to you for 8 hours . and the end result is one of the best koi i have seen. this guy is a top notch tattooist are you allowed to tell me the cost total ?
nice reply.
wow, you are machine to sit there that long. it came out really nice.
i like this tattoo,i wanna get a dragon piece on my back soon
yes, i would like to know how much you paid as well, thx.
holyy, i wouldn’t be able to stand 8 hours of this
props to the client
the guy did awsome work and the koi is swimming upstream to spawn witch means its autum or the fall season so the maple leaves go really well
Guys, please don’t ask about money on here. Thats a private thing between the client and the artist.
I only discuss money in person in the shop during consults.
thanks!
i give mad props to the artist and the client. and kudos to the artists reply on the authenticity of the tattoo
WOW, dude that’s EXACTLY the tattoo that i want in my forearm.
I will get a laughing buddha on my upper sleeve and the rest will be koi fish like that. I hope it would look great.
A question to tattoo artist… I have Keratosis Pilaris ( like small bump on my arm ). I wonder if it would look OK if i put a tattoo on it? Is there any circumstance that a tattoo artist cant ink someone skin?
While Im a HUGE critic on Koi tattoos, (there are so many out there done poorly). This one is beautiful. The scale work is top notch. Serious attention to detail went in to this piece. Hats off to the artist and to a dude thats gonna have a really swollen and bruised underarm in the morning!
I really want a tattoo like this! But then on my underarm!
this is a great tattoo he and the artist can be very proud for many years to come.
For me the key features of a good japanese tattoo is the way the aspects that are overlaid on the main focal point interact with the background , and this artist has nailed that spot on.
I had a koi done in 7.5 hours with no background done yet kudos to the customer for sitting it out it takes a bit of control to not show pain.
man tat looks sick as!
nice!!!!
If its only a bump, he will most likely tattoo around it because he’s not goin to risk poppin that thing w/ his needles.
sick how much do half sleeves normally cost
